The new Malibu is notable because it’s the first Chevy to utilize a continuously variable transmission, taking fuel-efficiency one step further. Malibu Premier drivers can take advantage of a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that boosts output to 250 horses. This engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission, which generates a smooth, responsive performance.
Interior Comfort
Both the Impala and the Malibu deliver world-class interior comfort. The full-size Impala provides greater passenger space, making it the better pick for families with tall genes or anyone who loves group road trips. As you move up the trim levels, you’ll find increasing luxury, with features such as heated leather seats and a premium Bose audio system to keep you company on lengthy rides. The Malibu is a roomy mid-size sedan. Most families will find the cabin plenty spacious for their needs.
